A bee pollinating a bright yellow lance-leaf coreopsis where one sees fine hairs on its head and shiny abdomen reflects the skyMorris Reserve Pollinator - No. 2When the Bellbrook Sugarcreek Park District acquired land from the Morris family, they introduced the yellow lance-leaf coreopsis to the former farm field, thereby creating this Miami Valley prairie scene. The park district recognized the need for plants which support pollinators, so they introduced this colorful plant which now spans about 100 acres of Sugarcreek Township adjacent to Bellbrook, Ohio.
This gallery captures bees pollinating garden flowers and wildflowers. Given their pollinating nature, the bees are often photographed on colorful flower making for pleasing prints.
