Tall grass prairie sunset where a sunburst mimics the yellow petals of the Black-eyed Susans under an interesting skySunburst Over Bellbrook Ohio No. 9Park managers at Morris Reserve, near Bellbrook Ohio, restored 100 acres of farmland back to a tall grass prairie. In this late spring sunset, a super bloom of Black-eyed Susans and Lance-leaf Coreopsis mimic the rays emanating from the setting sun as varying cloud layers refract light in differing levels of brightness.
This gallery captures my fine art photography of Bellbrook Ohio and the surrounding Sugarcreek Township. If you are looking for some of the pretty places in Bellbrook or colorful scenes and parks from the Bellbrook Sugarcreek Park District, I think you’ll like these art prints.

Greene County residents formed Sugarcreek Township in 1803 where it was a producer of maple sugar and maple molasses. Today’s Sugar Maple Festival is a tribute to its heritage. Bellbrook was formed 13 years last drawing its name from a city founder, Steve Bell, and the Little Sugar Creek which flows through the town. In 1972, both entities formed the Bellbrook Sugarcreek Park District responsible for maintaining the area’s green space. The district maintains several parks which offer peaceful views of Greene County Ohio.

My favorite park is by far Morris Reserve which is the district’s newest park. The Morris family donated their old farm along Lower Bellbrook Road, where park managers returned the tillable land back into a tallgrass prairie. In early summer, this field blooms with Ohio wildflowers, while in the spring, the overlooking wooded hills hold many species of Ohio spring wildflowers to include the Twinleaf wildflower.

Bellbrock Park lies in the center of Bellbrook and holds structures typical of early Ohio as well as a fountain which pays tribute to the town’s Magnetic Springs heritage.

Another large park, Sweet Arrow Reserve, is also a gift from another local family who donated land forming the park district's largest park. Spring hikers will see a variety of Ohio wildflowers to include the state wildflower, the large white trillium and yellow trout lily.

If you have a waiting room where you want to tout your local pride with views of Bellbrook and Sugarcreek Township point of interest, these art prints will meet your wall decor and wall art needs.
