Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery

Jefferson Barracks formed at cemetery in 1826 with the internment of an infant child.  These rolling hill and hallowed ground lie just above the Mississippi River and became a National Cemetery in 1866.  Today, the cemetery hosts 188,000 to include three veterans from the American Revolution and an Airman formerly interred as the “Vietnam Unknown Soldier” in Arlington National Cemetery.  During this autumn days, the leaves were putting on a grand display for those who’ve defended our nation.
