A mid-December snow covered the trails at John Bryan State Park (near Yellow Springs, Green County, Ohio) and the following day’s sun backlit a few winter leaves which retained their green hues.  The impressively cold temperatures chased away all other visitors allowing me to meander through the majestic woodlands as a sole witness.

Snowy PathJohn Bryan S.P. lies between Clifton and Yellow Springs, Ohio where the area served as home to the Adena, Hopewell Mound Builders and eventually the Shawnee. This pathway links Swimming Pool Rd to the North Rim Trail. The backlit snow-covered leaves made for an intriguing invitation to explore this trail.
