Bellbrook Sugarcreek Bliss

In 2016, the Morris Family transferred 177 acres to the Bellbrook Sugarcreek Park District….land occupied by their family for almost 200 years.  The park district near Bellbrook, Ohio, memorializes the parcel today as the Morris Reserve with 100 acres set aside as tallgrass prairie.  After two years of land management, the park district has created a scene reminiscent of Window XP’s peaceful desktop scene called Bliss.

Like other members of the sunflower family, the flower’s vivid colors serve as a visual complement to the blue skies and cumulus clouds occupying the skies over Sugarcreek Township.
