Fall Evening over Benjamin Trail, Tawawa Park in Sidney Ohio

On the eastern side of Sidney, Ohio resides an impressive park called Tawawa Park which is part of the Sidney Parks and Recreation Department.  Originally formed in 1948, Tawawa park draws its name from Tawawa Creek which runs through the area which once hosted a railroad and canal.  On this evening, the setting sun paints Benjamin Trail in warm colors which also illuminates the autumn leaves giving Sidney visitors a visual treat!

As a testament to the clean living in Sidney Ohio, the city announced it received the Sterling Tree City USA award.  From the Arbor Day Foundation website, a city reaches Sterling status for earning 10 Growth Awards.  Sterling communities are regarded as leaders in community forestry and are often looked upon as innovators.
