A Caesar Creek twilight where a band of cirrus clouds diagonally spanned the sky as the fading light painted the wispy clouds in pink hues which contrasted with the deepening blue sceneCaesar Creek Twilight No. 1On this evening, visitors to Caesar Creek State Park enjoyed a little skyfire as high-level cirrus clouds slowly passed through the Ohio sky. At one point, the clouds consolidated into two bands which delightfully drew the eye to the distant horizon. As twilight deepened into blue hour, the lofty leading lines took on a rich salmon color as the lake’s waters assumed an evening calm forming a perfect reflection of the spectacle overhead.

Caesar Creek State Park was named for a black slave captured by the Shawnee on a raid along the Ohio River. The Shawnee adopted Caesar and gave him this valley as his hunting ground. Nearly 200 years later, the US Army Corps of Engineers constructed a dam over Caesar Creek creating a 2,800-acre lake under authorities embedded in the Flood Control Act of 1938. With the completion of the dam in 1978, the dam began impounding water forming the deepest lake in Ohio and a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.

These images capture Caesar Creek sunsets and twilight which form peaceful waterscape scenes perfect for healthcare art and corporate art wall decor.
