Washington-Centerville Public Library No. 1

Outside the Washington-Centerville Public Library in Centerville Ohio resides a sculpture featuring a 22-foot stack of ceramic books. The sculpture was created by Michael Frasca in 1997 after winning the Bicentennial Sculpture Competition. The library webpage states, "The Record" not only represents books in the library, but also the history of Centerville and Washington Township and the knowledge of the pioneer, farmer, and villager who settled here.
