A bronze statue of Wilbur and Orville Wright depicts the brothers using their hands as they converse about their revolutionary idea of wing warping. The statue stands at Deeds Point, Dayton, Ohio whiWright Brothers at Legacy PlazaIn celebrating Dayton’s famous sons, Wilbur and Orville Wright, Five Rivers MetroPark planners and the Inventing Flight Committee established an aviation heritage site at Deeds Point. From this promontory point where the Great Miami River converges with the Mad River, one can observe the Dayton Skyline and thus the prosperity Miami Valley innovators brought to the Gem City. In preparing for the centennial of flight events, the committee commissioned Mark Henn with creating a piece which captures Wilber explaining his theory of wing warping to Orville using a bicycle inner tub box.
There are many sculptures around Dayton Ohio. Many serve as tribute to the Wright Brothers, John H Patterson, Charles Kettering and many other famous citizens. This gallery captures these artworks in the surrounding and under colorful skies which make for unique Dayton wall art. In meeting your wall decor needs, imagine these Dayton artworks as large canvas wall art print and how they allow hospitality art and corporate art clients to tout their Dayton pride.

As I continue to capture sculptures from around the Miami Valley, I have begun to differentiate where sculptures are located so you may be interested in these additional galleries: Centerville Ohio Sculptures, Kettering Ohio Sculptures, Cincinnati Sculptures, Piqua Ohio Memorials, and of course, Hamilton Ohio Sculptures.
