Robert J. Shook Bikeway Bridge No. 2

Spanning the Great Miami River, the Robert J. Shook Bikeway Bridge became a key link in connecting Piqua Ohio to the Great Miami River Recreational Trail. This was a project requiring significant advocacy so when it came time to dedicate the bridge, they chose the Chairman of the Miami County Bike Trail Task Force, Robert J. Shook. The wide and stylish bridge not only carries bikers and pedestrians but offer observation decks for visitors to stare out over the Great Miami River. On this spring day, the trees had just sprouted their leaves as the sun hung in clear blue skies.
