Ballard Covered Bridge, Jamestown OH No. 1

The Charles F. Dean Ballard Road Covered Bridge was built in 1883 to span Caesar Creek. This Howe Truss Bridge was built near the William C. Dean farm which was also near the site of Lyman Ballard Grist Mill. In 2016 and in an effort to preserve our transportation history, Greene County Ohio restored the termite-infested bridge back to its original glory.
